HR is what we do.
Keeping workplaces human is why we do it.
Meet Kathryn
Co-Founder & Principal Consultant
Kathryn Bonning knows HR. With close to 20 years of experience across professional services, property, and corporate environments, she’s led everything from large-scale change to the everyday rhythms of people operations.
Before co-founding HMNKND HR, Kathryn held senior roles inside complex, high-performing businesses, most recently as Group Head of People & Culture at a national consultancy. There, she oversaw strategy across talent, engagement, leadership, and succession planning - bringing clarity and direction to the people agenda.
In 2021, she launched her own consultancy to help organisations cut through the noise, providing HR support that’s both strategic and grounded. Today, through HMNKND HR, she partners with clients to design better structures, deliver HR projects, and create workplaces that benefit the people who work inside them.
A certified member of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI), Kathryn is known for her sharp thinking, calm presence, and ability to bring clarity, insight, and at times humour, to every challenge.
